Vancouver 2010 - First Impressions

During the winter here in Europe firmly under control (now it was snowing again, the snow we will probably never go), it looks quite different in western Canada. In Vancouver, where last night the Olympic Games have begun, it is much warmer and snow significantly poorer. Last year at this time was not the case. Nevertheless, the games are
been opened yet and of course I personally liked the show very much. Unfortunately, the big event is now overshadowed by a fatal accident on the toboggan run. Nevertheless, I found the opening ceremony was very successful and, in contrast to the mirror that it is properly handled it. Was very emotional in any case, the invasion of the Georgian team.

Last night I did so despite the time difference, the opening ceremony, watched live - at least for the most part - and held with the sisters together to 5:20 clock by. I had all the time, the overwhelming feeling of wanting to be in Vancouver again, because somehow I've still a special connection to this city - and thus to the games.
The show was emotional, beautiful and entertaining. Particularly I found the great whales (it really looked very real, but unfortunately I can not find any pictures of it) and the shining bear that rose. I would particularly like to stress to deal with the First Nations that were involved really great in the show and yes also to host these games.
So here are some impressions of the photos are ARD .

addition, there were already the first medal winner for Germany: Magdalena Neuner won silver despite a shooting error in 7.5-km biathlon sprint. Hopefully go on like that!
